I spent some time yesterday talking with someone who’s opinion and wisdom I value.
I told them how, in the last week and a half, we have spent so much time searching, asking, looking, working. We have hardly slept, have woken up early and gone to bed late. We have asked for prayer, for resources, for direction. We feel like we have done literally everything we can to try and get a handle on our current situation.
Searching for an answer. An arrow pointing us in the right way.
I have never felt more confused about what we are supposed to do. But I have never been more confident that we have tried to uncover every stone along the way in our search for the next step.
He listened, nodded, agreed.
And then asked me if we have stopped to listen.
Well…we have asked, begged, pleaded with God. We have talked with close friends and family and asked for any advice they could offer.
Told God we will do WHATEVER He says. Literally, anything. We just need to know what that is.
But, have I calmed myself…and listened?
Have I taken the time to sit, meditate on the things that I know are true about God and just…wait…enjoy…breathe?
Peace, be still.
