In the past few years, Scott and I have been in a position of need many more times than not. We have needed prayer. Needed support. Needed a friend. A brownie. A listening ear. Needed to understand. Needed to find hope. Needed to know that God hadn’t forgotten about us.
And He hadn’t forgotten. He just started reminding us of His goodness in ways we hadn’t really experienced before.
Somebody brought us a box of popcorn, some movies and magazines while I was recovering from one of our miscarriages. Somebody delivered 3 roses on Mother’s day to our door. Somebody(s) got together and sent us away on a weekend trip. Somebody wrote an email. Somebody took time to pray. Somebody called us out of the blue. Somebody has taken us under their wings as a family and been a prayful, financial and emotional support for the year.
We have had SO MANY Somebody’s come our way. And every little and big thing has meant so much more than the act itself. You have been a reminder that God has not forgotten.
So, would you take a look around today. Think about your friends…even far off aquaintances…find a need and fill it…be their somebody.
You have no idea how much it matters.
