Lord Help Us All.
I watched my first documentary titled “Meet Your Meat” on the Peta website. It showed the process of every type of animal’s journey to my plate.
Well, crap. Either I go vegan or I hear a tiny baby piggie squeal every time I take a meaty bite for the rest of my life.
OR. I start my own farm. And raise chickens and goats and a cow as my little adorably named friends with bonnets and handkerchiefs and when they are old and frail and tell me that they have lived a good life…then, I will (after they die of natural causes) use their meat to eat.
OR. I will just stop watching PETA videos.
But, really. I have to make a decision here soon on what I want to do.
Vegan or Vegetarian.
I have to stick to a very low protein diet for life thanks to my solitary kidney and so I figure, if I just cut meat out, that might help me feel less “restricted” on the protein. Hence, the decision making.
But first, I have to come up with a list of items that a vegetarian can eat. And see if this will work for me for life. Here is what I have so far:
Which made me think of a milkshake…which is out of the question….then I wanted chicken nuggets…another no no….and then how can you not have fries without buttermilk ranch….again, not ok….wait…
CAN A VEGAN NOT EAT BUTTER?
Ok, wait a second. The more important question NOW is…
How does any vegan weigh over 100 lbs? Because if I can’t eat butter, there is no way I am going near bread….or broccoli…..or eggo waffles…or macaroni and cheee….OH NO! No Kraft Mac & Cheese?!?!?!
WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE EAT?!?!?!
Like I said. Lord Help Us All.
